About Colony Clothing x TATSUYA NAKAMURA
Drawing from his personal archives, Mr. Nakamura proposed colours and patterns that were popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s, when styles blended influences from American, French Ivy, and Italian designers. One notable trend from that era featured bold, multi-coloured stripes and hand-drawn ethnic patterns. Initially, he worried these designs might be too bold. However, when paired with the urban and resort styles of Colony Clothing, he felt they perfectly captured the desired aesthetic.
